This 1,500sf house in Richland, WA is designed to be built in phases (as money is saved and family grows), the main building is constructed of pre-fabricated steel trusses with strawbale infill.

Designed as an individual cabin in a network of artist studio cabins, these 300sf living units include kitchenette, bathroom, and sleeping area. Detailed plans are available for sale.
Conversion of a 400sf, unfinished basement into media room, guest room , and play area. Also included a replacing an old wood post and beam with a new steel beam to increase the span to create a continuous space.
This design submittal received an Honorable Mention in the 2004 design competition to create a memorial to honor and remember those aboard Flight 93 on September 11, 2001.
Designed by The Architecture Department, and built in collaboration with Bakken Construction, this second story addition in Beacon Hill tripled the livable square footage and accessed new views of the Olympics.
Before forming Ten Penny Studio, Brandon Woodward with Prentiss Architects designed this vacation house on San Juan Island. It was the recent recipient of a 2010 Northwest AIA Merit Award.
This modest cabin is designed to expand and contract with the seasons. Mounted on rails, a portion of the cabin can be pulled away from the fixed portion of the cabin to create a courtyard in the warmer months. Detailed plans are available for sale.
A new deck and stair addition to an existing kitchen. The ipe and cedar stairs connect to a concrete and stone landing in a gravel courtyard for entertaining.
